View Full Version : How do you get high bitrate MJPEG playback?

I use pretty high settings, since my Panasonic Silver Class 4 Card is doing an incredible job. I recently tried 4:2:2 sampling, everything works fine, my peak bitrate for MJPEG is 55 Mbits or so, but I don't know how to get in camera playback working.

I saw the "perfect project" where the author claims that his mjpeg is playing in camera. So I asked myself "what is limiting mjpeg playback?"

Any suggestions? Any systematic experience?

consensus is if it goes above a certain bitrate it will not play back. 30-35Mbit is the figure that I have been reading, anymore and it will not play back. I guess you can test for your self by dropping the bitrate on the same shot and see if it plays back.

so its either or, not both from my understanding.
