T2i specs say it can record up to 4GB of full HD 1920x1080. But how many minutes worth of footage is that at 24fps? (I am pondering buying the T2i).

It records 4GB per press of the record button. Works out to about 12 minutes. Press the button again, get another 12 minutes.

Because the h.264 codec it uses has a variable bit rate, the length of recording will depend on what you are filming. If you put the lens cap on and hit record, because the scene is not changing much, it will use a lower bitrate and may last for 20 minutes before it hits the 4bg limit. In other instances where high action and sharp detail is involved it may be around 10 minutes or lower.

On average, the 4bg file works out to be around 12-13 minutes for most scenes, but do be aware that it may be longer or shorter than this.
