I understand that a dvxfest short must be shot within the allotted time frame.
Does this also include any VFX or CGI related work?
For example, could I create a CGI character now and integrate that into footage that has been previously shot into a short for a given entry into next years dvxfest?

//My guess is VFX shots or CG shots could be considered as stock footage so it wouldn't mattter as long as the short in general was shot withinin the given timeframe. That's assuming that using stock footage is okay and using CG assests that were created before hand are okay. I'm not trying to be too hypothetical here since at some point a series of previously animated scenes could eventually make up a short which would be an obvious violation.
I'm just talking about developing a character based on a script that will both have been created before a given dvxfest announcement.
If it were already animated and provided as stock footage then..?
Maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing. I was wondering though. I guess a couple shots would be fine then?
