Cool shots. Liked the framing.

That was really nice, camera moves looked good, the framing too only the editing bothered me a bit at a few moments.

I'd love to know the specific equipment you used. Lenses (mount, focal length and aperture)? Follow focus? Something else?

Cool movie! What was the music?

There is a black flash in the beginning and like 3 minutes of black towards the end. It baffled me because neither of those show up in the AE comp I rendered it out of, which means Its kinda hard to fix something that's not there.

For this I only used 24mm and 50mm Canon FD lenses at various apertures from 2.8-8. No follow focus, just the camera, Rode NTG2, and XLR adapter on a Redrock Micro shoulder mount.

The music was Epic Score's "I still have a soul (NC) and "Imperious troops." The last cue was Immediate Music's "Blue Pill."

All the gunshot hits on the body were done with compressed air and flour, as was the sniper rifle smoke. The muzzle flash was added in post.

Thanks for the comments!

Apart the actors are fair young to be my children LOL it is quite curious how the Coppola's profecy succeeded.

Whats weird is those guys are both actually brothers, and both at least 3 years older then they look. The angry one is almost 19. Their entire family is like this, it's bizzare.

And they speak with a funny accent...or is it me that does that, I can never remember.

Haha, the accent is fake. We're all Americans, from Chicago.

Thanks. It was a Rode NTG2 on a shock mount with a little 3 foot XLR cable. I just held the mic in my hand and tried to get it as close as possible. I didn't use phantom power. It went into a DXA-5D adapter on my shoulder mount and right into the camera.

Nice camera moves (e.g. @1.16mins). Which steadicam/stabilizer did you use?

I cheated. It was Deshaker for Virtualdub, I used it for a few shots. Though that particular one was originally a pretty good handheld shot anyway.

I know this is weird, but in case any of you want to know what happens next...

IMO this is the better one. Same camera etc just no hacked firmware.
