i just got a 50inch sony HD LCD television, and couldn't help but notice a
3:2 pull down feature... here's exactly what it says in the description...

"CineMotion 3-2 pulldown for accurate reproduction of film-based sources"

how do you think this applies to the 3:2 pull down from the footage i obtain with my XL2... i've been shooting 3:2:2:3 this entire time...

anyone else have this feature on their TVs??

Hello !

I always get confused, but I think convertting from 24p to 60i is called 2:3 pulldown. If it is what I expect it to be, then it will find the 2:3 pulldown inside the incomming signal ( from DVD or DV ) and remove it so it actually showes the 24p footage.

If that's the case, it's a really cool feature.
I wonder how Cineform 24 of the FX1 will look using that feature. :-)
