I don't think they've posted any pre-NAB press kit yet. As for a response, it's anyone's guess, but historically Canon prefers to be the last to arrive at the party (hence Isaac's statement).
I would expect that their first HDV camera would be based on the GL2 form factor. Maybe not at NAB, as that's a convention for broadcasters, not consumers. Canon may choose to wait until WEVA or some other more appropriate venue to introduce it. But that's all wild, groundless speculation!

Woah, 7,000 posts -- how did that happen! Heh. "Trainee" was probably more appropriate because I'm still learning all this stuff... anyway not to hijack the thread but DVX User is the *only* board outside of my own that I'd ever spend time on... besides the ocassional battle with a certain troll at dv.com which I shouldn't even bother with anyway.
I just feel sorry for whoever's going to search my 7,000 posts here, they're going to come up a little short! Thanks Jarred! :)
