View Full Version : Not an Off-Topic Forum?

Always great to see a new forum, but shouldn't this one be with the Off-Topic forums. All the other forums under DVX have more direct implications to the camera itself. This forum seems to be more general in nature. I believe it would fit better with screenwriting, movie talk, etc. Just a thought.

Seems reasonable. Mike?

I'd go along with that.

Sounds right to me!

That is true, I never actually thought about it (and never really pay attention to the organization of the threads).

But that sounds like a good idea. Jarred?

I would think Screenwriting and Cafe talk is NOT DIRECTING. Why don't we give it a chance first and see where it takes us?

John -- he meant that the whole "Directing" forum should be on its own, but in the "Off-Topic" area, instead of in the main DVX area.

And then again, I had immediate misgivings after posting this topic. :P We have the Post Shooting forum and the Documentary forum under DVX topics, and they aren't directly related to the DVX, either. So it's probably no big deal to have directing here.

Perhaps there should be a "Film Production" category -- like "NLEs".

*That*, David, is a good idea! Although, it wouldn't really change what's going on in here, so there's really no big deal in a sense...but if it's no effort then might as well change it to be more orderly

I visualized. Will it now be realized? ;D

hahahha Right on David ;)

I know I'm up for it. It's all up to the main man, Jarred, right now.

That's kinda what I had mind, but wouldn't "Screenwriting" fit in that category, too?

05-25-2004, 04:20 PM
Yup, that's what I thought too.

I agree that screenwriting should be part of Filmmaking as well...
