Yeah, we've been in need of this forum for a while.

Good to see Barry_S involved as a moderator. He's very knowledgable and I trust his advice. ;D

Yeah, about that... will you guys stop swinging dead cats in here? They hurt, and the maggots get in our hair and stuff.

You'd think a guy who travels a lot would appreciate good carrion . . .

"Swinging Dead Cats"... (The name of my new band - NOT!)

Yeah, that is about the corniest backwoods saying I've ever heard... or bothered repeating for that matter.

I'm curious of its origin.

Corniest backwoods thing I ever heard (from the hands-down hottest girlfriend I've ever had):

I wouldn't wear that to a one-legged ass kickin'.

Terry_Lasater
05-13-2004, 08:57 PM
Yeah, I've heard one similar...

"He's busier than a one-legged man in an Ass-Kickin' Contest."

How about

"Fuller than a tick on a hound dog"

J.R. Hudson

BWhahahahah! The first two are great! This is the stuff you just have to put in a screenplay!

How about

"That boy listens like a siv"

Not sure how to spell that; but apparently a 'siv' is like a cooking utensil for straining flour or something?

That's slicker than snot on a doorknob.
I didn't know whether to shit or go blind... so, I closed one eye and farted.
Crookeder than a dog's hind leg.
So hungry I could eat the south end of a northbound skunk.
Happier than a puppy with two peters.
Lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut.
You couldn't whup half my ass if the other side was helpin' ya.
If your gonna be a turd go lay in the yard.
So mad I could eat barbed wire and spit nails.
Can't sing and it's too wet to plow.
Who shit in your punchbowl?
Don't squat with your spurs on.
Nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Ran off like his feet were on fire and his ass was catchin'.
Dumber than a box of rocks.
Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit.
Well, blow my dress up!

John:
There's an old Cheech & Chong song that has the following verse...

"My mama talkin' to me tryin' to tell me how to live...
But I don't listen to her 'cause my head is like a sieve..."

Crazy.

I write everything down in yellow legal pads. One post after another and every thread. Jarred makes me do it. He says it's for a 'back-up'.

Sounds like 'digital manipulation' to me. ;)

Sound is half the movie so I dont know what the hell I was thinking taking so long to start this Section.

There are already a number of threads on audio under "Hardware." Is there a chance to shift them to this Audio section. That way, we can have "one stop shopping" on audio related issues.

By the way, Jarred, I've posted often and have yet to officially say THANK YOU for setting up this site. It is an incredible source of help.
