I did a test myself ever since I found out about the "24p native static shot of death" bug to see if the quality really did degrade. There's definitely a red spill, but I haven't seen any severe degradation like Pappasart showed in that one thread. I used jobless safe settings for both.

Hei Trucci (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/member.php?u=558) thank's for your reply。

Maybe Pappasart didn't get the The highest quality deinterlacing function?

I am still confusssed about this

By the way,are you learning Chinese? I saw "Chinses grammar" :),maybe i can give you some help ,I’m from China。

Hey cool, I went to Shenzhen not too long ago. They have that cool theme park with all the miniature world wonders. My Chinese grammar is decent, but my vocabulary is really lacking.

I used Cineform on high for both examples in my test. Since I have use Cineform to edit anyways, I'm thinking about sticking with 1080 60i until the bug gets sorted out.

:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)the park named"世界之窗"means "window of the world"。

With the 60i clip,I use vector adaptor deinterlacing in windows media player, and take a screenshot(1920X1080)

I think I will do the sameting with you, waiting for the bug fixed。

Now is middlenight here,i will get a sleep.

more serious test about 60i and 24p,I really find that 24p much clean than 60i

Later in the thread they worked out that there is a bug in NeoScene's pulldown functions. That Svart guy, always find bugs everywhere ... :Drogar-Shock(DBG):

Anyways...the 24/60i looks a slight, slight bit noisier than 24p. Almost like a second generation of a copy on a photocopier where you get some added smudge in the image's white area. It doesn't look too bad in comparison though.

I need such a high quality photocopier, as too my eyes the leaf samples look close to identical. Color is slightly more "vibrant" in 24p sample, but this could be due tolight changing.

If you were comparing frames for "noise", you would have to ensure that frametypes matched, because the fame quantizers would be different

e.g I-frame vs. I-frame, P-frame vs. P-frame

Also, for the first post, green usually doesn't show the chroma problems as clearly as something like red on black, or red on blue
