what's a better choice?

if i had the option of getting two AT MKH-416's for 1,400 would that be a better choice then 2 66's and 1 64 for 1,100.

i will be shooting in a few small rooms with actors so i thought getting the bigger package for extra versatility might be the way, however the 416's do sound better.

I'd take the MKH-416's in a second and not look back if I had the $$. The MKH-416 is a significant step up from the ME66/64 and you'd rarely need the three mics (64/66/66) at the same time.
