My God, I didn't think a movie could be that bad! The terrible animation, the retarded boyfriend, the magical cat, the model/corporate exec super villain... what is the world coming too? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I didn't have the guts to start a post for this movie, but since it's already alive...

for the love of god save your money and do not go see this movie, ever. It is just a complete waste of time.

I'm the guy who not so long ago said on here that I was excited to go see this movie because of the director Pitof. Well, his film VIDOCQ is still one of the coolest films I've ever witnessed, but that does not make up for the crap that is Catwoman. Seriously, aren't there better stories out there to get greenlighted?

I know everyone on this site is smart enough to stay away from this flick, but for those who are thinking of it don't!!!

On a different note... you know how people meet the right connections by fluke and their career gets a lift... my girlfriend informed me after watching Catwoman today that she had been offered a job to babysit Pitof's kids last summer and turned it down... AAHH!!!

Honestly I knew it was a bad idea the second they said Ca.....

I mean really; Catwoman? The Movie? And another thing. They arent still going on with JINX are they? (I thought I heard MGM said F*** that and went forward with a new BOND instead?)

Who's idea was this? Catwoman? Maybe if it was about "Catwoman and her Lipstick Lesbian Friends" it would be a good thing.

Pitof. Roger Ebert's review said something like "I imagine he must have been born with the standard two names like everyone else. For his future films, he may want to start using the other one."

Someone else called it a Cat-astrophe.

Now that I know I'm not going to get flamed for it, here's the review I posted on amazon when I got back from the theater:

Just got back from the theater... my God I really don't see how this movie could be worse. I'm not going to write a book, but let me just point out a few of the things that makes this a bad movie:

Halle Berry isn't at the top of her game in this movie. I didn't find her acting convincing in most scenes.

Catwoman in this movie is killed by corporate execs and brought back to life by a magical cat to seek revenge against the evil doers... Uh, the Crow called, he wants his plot back.

The cinematographers use blurs and brief shots to try and hide the terrible 3D animation. The graphics and movement look like a video game and are not very realistic. Some of the cats were realistic.

Halle Berry's boyfriend doesn't catch on that he's dating Catwoman even though she:
a) looks just like catwoman without the little ears
b) performs supernatural feats that only a Catwoman could do
and
c) has the same handwriting as catwoman
What a moron!

The cinematography was just awful with constant split second takes and bizarre looking crane shots that may have been poorly computer generated.

The last thing that I can think of that makes this a God-Awful movie is Sharon Stone:
Sharon Stone in this movie plays a corporate executive who's evil power is HARD SKIN DUE TO COSMETIC PRODUCT SIDE EFFECTS! Yes, you heard me right, this super villain's super power is sickness due to her beauty cream. To top it all off, this model slash business woman kicks catwomans ass at the end! I would like to think that a female model and corporate exec couldn't take me...

This one had me begging for the credits early.

Hollywood have been delivering a lot of crap lately. I haven't watched the movie yet and it didn't catch my attention anyway.

What is happening to the Hollywood?

All the best

I haven't seen it. No wait, I refuse to see it. Here are some reasons why I hate the whole idea of this movie.

1. The cat woman costume is AWFUL.

2. Halle Berry doesn't get to be storm AND catwoman! First off, she should never have been storm, Storm was from straight from Africa, so she would have had an African accent, and she wasn't the whiney little baby that Halle Berry made her out to be.

3. The animation is atrotious, whoever built the rigs should find a new job, I have seen parts in the commercials that make me gag.

OK I'm done. I'm just bitter.:)

Uh, the Crow called, he wants his plot back.

Yes, Indeed. I refused to see this movie ever since I saw a preview for it and they said that same exact line from the crow(when a person dies...) and instead of saying crow, they changed it to cat. I had a shitfit. I will be going to my local hospital soon because I believe I ruptured a blood vessel in my brain.

What is happening to the Hollywood?

Maybe Hollywood is going to follow the lead of film and start dying off ;) It doesn't look good when you've got independent movies like the passion and F9/11 breaking records. Maybe they'll eventually have to start making good movies again to stay alive. One thing's for sure... if they can get large numbers of people out to see their crappy movies with gimmicks and advertisements, they'll keep on doing the same stuff.

Thats why we cant support these movies....just dont go, dont even rent it. find away to see it without giving your money to them. sneak into a theater that is showing it, pay for another movie and then go into that theater, whatever works.

I knew I would never see it the moment I saw the mask they designed. It looks really stupid.

There was one reviewer on rottentomatoes that gave it three stars just because it's so bad. He said it's worth the price just to have something to chuckle about for weeks afterwards, or words to that effect. ;D

A few choice quotes from rottentomatoes.com:

"Putting Halle Berry in a tight leather suit is a good idea. The rest of the movie is not." -- Boo Allen, DENTON RECORD CHRONICLE

"Here's a movie that has nothing going for it except good bone structure." -- Joe Baltake, SACRAMENTO BEE

"It's bad enough that not only are careers over, but somebody should be slapped." -- Walter Chaw, FILM FREAK CENTRAL

"A stinky hairball on the soiled rug of the summer blockbuster schedule, gruesome enough to have been ejected from the esophagus of Bill the Cat..." -- John Beifuss, COMMERCIAL APPEAL (MEMPHIS, TN)

"The Showgirls of superhero movies." -- Robert K. Elder, CHICAGO TRIBUNE

"If Halle Berry keeps this up, she's going to have to give that Oscar back." -- Loey Lockerby, KANSAS CITY STAR

And my favorite....

"...makes me long for the quiet dignity of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s performance in "Batman and Robin."" -- Jeffrey Lyles, GAZETTE (MD)

;) :D ;D

Every film that comes out is just visual effects.
Even if the film sucks, people talk about the visual effects.

"The film sucked, but did you see those effects?"

This is hollywood of today.

All the best

The visual effects sucked... it looked so fake. Fucking Geico commericals are more realistic.

I have to admit too; this film is a joke...so bad, so bad that it's make the batman serie from TV, to be a chef-d'oeuvre.

Go for King Arthur, much better entertainment.

Geico commercials are impressive these days and this line "A stinky hairball on the soiled rug of the summer blockbuster schedule, gruesome enough to have been ejected from the esophagus of Bill the Cat..." -- John Beifuss, COMMERCIAL APPEAL (MEMPHIS, TN) "
Is the best i have heard in a long while. I have not seen the movie nor am i planning on it.
Halle Berry has a beautiful body.

I don't understand this obsession with Ms. Berry, I mean, look at her face... not to mention the breasts, they're saggy at best...

Comon man!

Thats not to say shes not attractive but as for models/actors she doesn't rate too high on my list

monster

>>>I don't understand this obsession with Ms. Berry

The fact that she is attracted to men who abuse her is a complete turn off.

skippyfetus

Well, she's an attractive woman... nice body and pretty face. I think that she gets so much attention because she's black. She's like our society's official beatiful black woman, just like Denzel...
