Whoosh Sound Effect

How can I create or where can I download an audio sample of a "Whoosh" sound? I checked out www.sounddogs.com but their whooshes didn't have the flare I was looking for. I want the same sound like you see in movie trailers when they throw up the titles on the screen.

If I were you.. Take your rinky dink computer mic, record a 'Whooosh" noise with your mouth. Then, record you taking the mic rubbing again some fabric.. say your jeans or carpet. Then, Take that sound and lower the EQ on the High Ends. Take the voice 'whoosh' and pitch the volume down and muffle it by taking out the highs and mediums. Mix that with your 'pant rub' and... ya.

You could even blow into the mic and change the pitch shifting to get it to sound.. 'Ok'.

Or.. just bail and buy a sound library. :)

but ya, i've got a few custom SFX i've created through the days. one of which is my "Durban Rumble" and "BigBassWaterJugHit". I use those in a LOT of my scores and mixes. (Subliminal of course)

whoosh: 1 mic stand with boom + 1 omni condenser mic, 1 large bamboo rake, practice your swing and don't hit the mic.
this should yield a bunch of pretty cool sounds.
