I'm using a Sennheiser EW100 lav mic setup. I record the scene and capture it in Final Cut Pro with no problem. Now hear comes the problem, I've notice during the playback that the subject's lips move and the words coming out of the speakers is out of sync by a half a second. Please help. This sync problem is driving me mad.
Thanks

If you're using 24P on a DVX100, this is a known issue and happens with all audio recording. It's actually 2 frames out of sync, and as far as I know FCP offers an option to correct it when you capture the footage.
This does not happen on a DVX100A, so if you're using a 100A you must have some other type of problem (i.e., an FCP configuration issue or something).

I was using a DVX100A during the out of sync problem.

Is the sound out of sync when you play back the tapes in the camera? I suspect it's an FCP problem, the sound should be perfectly in sync on the tape.

I took your advice Barry and your right. On the tape, the audio syncs correctly with the video. On Final Cut Pro however, the audio syncs fine when you play the track from 1-17 minutes. When you have a long track over 18 minutes you can start seeing the out of sync issue.
