I think with some recutting it could begin with much more excitement.
More full volume, quality music sequences can be incorporated. Right now it's all broken up, and you can't get into any particular song.
Perhaps more about raves in pop culture (movies: Go! other indie films).
There's footage online of helicopters and paramilitaries raiding a rave. Try and find.
Drug war angle: people in prison for ecstasy?
Sampling / copyright lawsuits?
More hot girls never hurt.
