Anyone ever use one in their film? Did you rent it? We are supposed to be using one for ours in 3 different scenes, we had it confirmed.. but the location is in a different city than the EMS service that said we could use it, and so far.. alot of these people (although we explained it) don't realize how long it takes to shoot a movie.. so after 2 hrs, they are ready to leave... and we need it for 3 days.. or 3 shooting days. What we have been doing is shooting with the big props first so they can leave, but sometimes its not feasible to do that as the prop is in all the shots. hmmm..

If you're in an area with vehicle rental houses, rent an ambulance and it's yours for the term of the rental.

Alternately, see if you can find a used-vehicle dealer with older ambulances to lend or rent. EMS outfits turn over their equipment pretty frequently, so you ought to be able to find 'last year's model...'

For shots where you only see part of the vehicle, you might consider renting a similar van to what the ambulance is built from, add graphics to match the real ambulance, and keep your shots tight...
