Finally got around to contacting the ad agency and getting a copy of this Energizer spot shot on an ISS interior set I designed for The Day After Tomorrow (which alas does not utilize it to any particularly memorable effect).

This set has shown up in a US Air Force recruiting ad, a Discovery TV special and in one or two other places as well. It was a lot of fun, putting it together. I dig the astronaut stuff special.

So how do they float? CG, Wires? or is the whole thing built inside a Vomit Comet?

Kinda clean - but nice set. Impressive.

In the Energizer ad the actors are composited in. In the USAF spot I think it's all wire work.

In fact the set could be rigged inside one of the Vomit Comets. But it's got an awful lot of seams, grooves, nooks and crannies that I'd sure hate to have to clean the vomit out of...

Kinda clean - but nice set. Impressive.

There's a truckload of dressing - laptops, special hardware, velcro stuff, equipment bags and caddies, etc that goes with this set, but for the Energizer spot in particular they decided to leave the interior clean as an aesthetic choice - plus it would have been very hard to spot the bunny floating about, amid all that crap...and made life a lot tougher for the compositors...
