Zoom H4N Left Channel seems louder?

When I have my H4N recording, I notice my left signal is slightly louder than my right channel.. Is anyone having this problem? I did a few test and each time it seems like the left channel is getting slightly louder.

I am too! I have no idea how to fix this, but it is driving me mad.

check the mixer in the menu, see if any pan or level settings are askew

^ nope, everything is set balanced and at it's default.

Another question but how high do you guys set the mic input level? Or what's a good level with minimal static noise.
