Auto Audio?

I have a HMC150 and there is no auto-levels type audio control, you just have to keep riding the channel dials.

How is the audio control on the HMC40? Is it like the old DVC30 where you can set it to 'auto'. I read in another you can adjust manually using the soft keys but would like to know if there is indeed an auto mode. Thanks

No auto-level control, just an audio limiter on the HMC-40. Also, without an XLR adapter, all audio control is via menu setting.
