Here they are... Congrats, and thanks to everyone for participating in the process...

You can pm for your ratings and your rankings outside the top 3.

Otherwise, if everyone is fine with all of that being publicly available, then I'll be happy to post the full list here in this thread...

1st Place: "Through the Eyes of the Innocent" - mml

2nd Place: "A Clockwork Darkened" Chris Keaton

3rd Place: "The Melt" - Anthony Todaro

congrats!

i had 2 of the top 3 correct... chris, i thought you had this one in the bag fo sho... but you all did a terrific job!

not sure i really want to know where i posted this time to be honest. i like my script, but i know it could have been muchly much better...

i am concerned about the future of the script fests... there weren't very many participants this time... i hope they continue doing them... if they do, i hope to see you all next time. it's been fun!

Thanks!

They said there would be prizes, so maybe if the prizes are super awesome we'll get more participation? hint-hint-nudge-nudge :)

Congratz MML! Well deserved.

Congratz to Keaton and Todaro on top three!

Good job to all who entered.

We should try to recruit some people from some other sites to jump into the DVX fray, it'll be easier to recruit with prizes ;)

Congrats to all who participated. Some very good stories, and some really polished writing.

Nice fest. a little thin, but certainly some good reads.

So how do you find your ranking? I pm'd the "PM me" guy but never heard anything....

Wow, it's been ages since I've been on here! My bad. Congrats to all the winners, I'll have to try and read all the entries at some point.
Hopefully, I'll be able to participate in the next fest. I've had a zillion things on in the year or so since I last entered a DVX script fest, but the end of my degree is in sight, and I'm well ups for getting more into the writing again.
Anybody know when the next one is due?

hello there :)

they haven't even started the next one since this one just ended...i'm guessing it may be a few weeks before it is even announced... but glad to know you will be in.

what's kind of crazy is how i came in fourth and yet my overall average was pretty damn low... there is definitely some low-balling going on... if it was a grade, i would have had a D... and i was fourth... so at least 11 of the 14 scripts had a D or below...

i don't know about you, but i try to grade it like a teacher (maybe because i am a teacher ;) ... a 9/10 would be an A... an 8 would be a B... a 7 would be a C.... a 6 would be a D... and 5 or below would be an F....

if you add up the 13 scores you gave and divide by 13 and you don't have at least a D (6), you are probably scoring way too harshly... in fact... an average of 7 sounds fair... C means average, after all... this is just my opinion...

all of the people who entered put a lot of thought, effort, and creativity into their scripts...

of course, i realize that everyone uses their own criteria for scoring... some focus more on the format and others focus more on the story... and there are naturally varying degrees of tastes... what one person loves, someone else may loathe... but still...

just sayin'... ;p

we must be on the low, low end and they don't want us even thinking about writing another one!

On the other hand, I just read that the feature version of "Hobo with a Shotgun" (one of the Grindhouse fake trailers) starts shooting tomorrow - with Rutger Hauer in the lead, so anything is possible.
