Quick question... I've been doing lightbulb tests for chinese lanterns and lamps. I found a Phillips "natural" 100w bulb that's real cheap (the powder blue bulbs), but here's the problem: while it's white directly at the light source on the
3.2k setting, it gets progressively more red as the light spreads out. So what I get is that 1/2 of my subjects body is white while the other 1/2 is progressively more red. Any ideas on eliminating the red? It shows up the most on the edges of arms and faces.
Thanks
Nathan

Shifting the color phase to green might help, or using a green gel on it. But the best solution is to get special Photoflood lamps, color balanced to 3200K. They are not as cheap and durable as household fixtures, but the light they output is definately more quality...

Nathan can you provide some grabs? Are you using the light as the only source or is there other light spilling onto subject?
