After careful research & evaluation. This are my recommended lens for video production as follows :

1. Tokina 11-16mm f.2.8
2. Canon 17-50mm f2.8 IS USM - for handheld and rigs.
3. Sigma 30mm F1.4
4. Canon 85mm F1.8

This Lens are good enough to cover most shots for video production.

why the 30mm prime but no 50mm prime? also, the rokinon 85mm f/1.4 on ebay is an excellent lens. no auto focus so the focus range is much better than an autofocus lens in manual mode. i have this lens and it makes beautiful pics.

I would guess that the Sigma 30mm (*1.6=48mm) was chosen because of its much-raved low light ability. I suppose the Canon 50mm (1.8 or 1.4) would really complete the set. Well, that along with a 135 (or just a 70-200 instead of it and the 85).

good suggestions, but id put the Tokina LAST, its a nice lens but really you need all the other ones first.

Id also sub old nikon primes for those, most can be had for under $100, i got my latest nikon 50mm 1.4 for like $60
