I am going to be working on some music videos and would love to get a ring light that gives that ultra white look w/ bluish tint. I dont know tons about lighting so please forgive me. I know about the kino-flo's but I wanted to know what else was out there. Any ideas or something else that would work. Thanks for your time.

Hmm...I haven't really seen any other ring light for motion film other then the Kino. They're expensive, but you can rent the kino ringlight in most major production centers.
Of course, they don't have a very long throw...so they're really only useful for very close shots...under 6 to 8 feet maybe? That may not be the range you want to be using on your DVX.
Mostly they're used for close up beauty stuff, where you get the specular highlights in the eyes of whoever is in front of the lens. If that isn't the look you're going for, you can just use regular kinos for lighting...or try making your own.
I know there's some circular household bulbs you might be able to try, but I doubt there are many out there that are corrected with an even spectrum.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but I've never really used them in production.
