I posted this on that thread but I guessit is dead, but anyway The 250s are out of stock, what is everyones suggestion on some decent lights for filmmaking that are not to expensive but not to cheap if you know what I mean, any of the kits off of the site, please help....O yeah it is for mostly indoor shooting but I would also like to use them outdoors if possible, Any help would be greatly apppreciated, because I am getting peoples opinions from all over the place and now I have come to DVXuser to get the real answer.....Thanks in advance...

I'm waiting to see if they get the 250s in again. I've got a 1k and a 600w. They are both awesome lights, but sometimes a bit much for some of the scenes I've shot. I've had to rely on some of my lower-wattage work lights in a pinch. I might pick up a Lowel Pro if I decide I really need one.

Britek apparently makes a little 200w non-focusable light, I've seen it offered by ebay dealers for under $50 (which includes two barn doors). Haven't used it, have no recommendation on it, just pointing it out as a cheap low-power light.

I bought those little 200watt ones from BH along time ago, and they are not that great, the new briteks kick the hell outta them. The problem with the 200 ones is they get incredibly hot, the shoe mount wont let you tilt down (so you cant put it on a stand high). That said, they do make a good little depth filler.

Oh. Well, in the immortal words of Emily Latella...

"Never mind."
