I am still seaarching for reflectors, and started to deriously look some flourescent suggestions. I found a local dealer of an Argentinian Manufacturer called Dexel, and from reading their brochure I realized that using DFL Lamps I can have a lighter/smaller setup with more light output (55W per bulb) than regular T12 40W lamps.

My question is, how well does those DFL lamps behave, comparing to the T12's? Is the light they emmit nice? can I find DFL Lamps with the same CRI, Color temp and balance then T12's? Or are they just inferior as light sources?

I know this is an old bump, but I'm a good little DVXUser and did a search before posting!

I had a chance to work on a shoot this past week where they had about four of the LFS-4/55 Dexels (http://www.dexel.com/en-lfs-4-55.htm)

I was on camera and was really imperssed with what I was seeing through the lens and noticed they were dimmable and had DMX interfaces. Anybody have experience with these and how they compare to Kinos? The only dealer I have tracked down for North America doesn't list prices on their web site, so any insight on that aspect is welcome. From what I hear they are about half the price of a Kino.

Wow, man. Good Bump! In Brazil they are extremely affordable. I'd say at leas less than 1/3 of the Kinos... But that's because of crazy tax policies...
