Big word for me.

But hypothetically for these fest's. Is it rule breaking to have a 'fan film' participate.

As an example:-

A 6 minute fan film of HALO with the theme of Betrayal.
or
A 6 minute spoof of Lord of the Rings, with a theme of Betrayal.

I can see the issue where it'd collide with the copyright rules.

You're asking this now... was there some sort of betrayal in your filmmaking, that it has come to this???

But, and perhaps I'm mistaken, wasn't there some verbage in the announcement indicating that 'spoofs' were not acceptable?

Most likely, I'm thinking 99% towards the 'fan' projects though.

The spoofs is just niggling in the back sector of my mind, filed under uncreativeness & originality.
