I'm shooting a short film in the next coming weeks and need to make sure I'm going about this the right way.
Shooting on the 7D, editing in Premier Pro Cs3. I'm wondering if I'm shooting the majority of the piece in 1080 24p, and very few shots in 720 60p, am i best to:
1) Edit the film in 1080, enlarge the 720 frame, sharpening it and exporting the project as 1080? (bad aliasing in 720 footage)
2) Edit the film in 1080, enlarge the 720 frame, sharpen it and export the project in 720? ( improvement of aliasing? )
3) Edit the film in 720, scale down the 1080 footage to match the 720 footage and export as 720?
In the end, I am not sure what the screening possibilities will be so I want to make sure I have the highest quality end result before having to encode to proper size/format.
Which way would you recommend?
Here is a quick test sample mixing the two in a 1080 project, stretched and sharpened the 720 footage to fit the frame, and then exported again as 720 to vimeo.
