You can now publish your book directly to Amazon kindle for no cost. You currently get 35 percent royalty off the sale price, which you can set to whatever you like. In June there will be a new option to get 70 percent royalty off books in the 2.99 to 9.99 range.
Pretty cool. Have a few books I might throw up there.

Amazon is just the independent's dream, I swear.

I mean there still needs to be advertising, word of mouth, etc. but what an incredible tool to get your work out to the masses. Really great.

You should really look into Facebook ads to help sell your material. 50 bucks gets you like a quarter of a million unique impressions, and with strong enough cover art I'm sure a 1% ratio isn't out of the question. Also, LOL, you can totally make completely fake reviews on your actual ad. Just put it in quotes and talk like you're talking about the material and, believe me, people will actually think it's an actual write-up of your book. You can set up fan pages, etc. too. Think about doing an on-going series if you have it in you, that way you can increase your fandom over the course of several years, really using your talents as an ongoing investment.

There's a patent out there for a hand-held comic book device that I don't know will ever see the light of day, but that too would be huge for the indie comic book makers out there.

Good luck on your publishing!!!!
