View Full Version : Hand held mic interview advice

Still fairly new to my DVX100A. So far, I've used lav's or boomed shotguns on audio, where audio was needed.
I've got a new project coming up that will involve a post concert interview on the sidewalk outside of a small pub. Since this is a very low budget affair, I'm hoping to avoid extra audio expenses and wonder if using a standard Shure or AKG vocal music mic run straight into the DVX would work at all. Any way to set the camera to record one XLR input to both channels?
There has been some great material put together on the DVX's visual capabilities, but I'm still way behind the curve on these audio tricks of the trade. Any advice?

Set ch 1 and 2 select to input 2, then plug the xlr cable into the 2nd input.
