This is a trailer for a short film I shot and am currently editing. Shot entirely on location in Duluth, MN with the Panasonic GH1 (with sync sound recorded on the HVX200).

Let me know what you think!

Really purty, man! I also dig the music.

Can't wait to see the finished movie.

(Though it's sort of hilarious that you're using the more expensive camera strictly as a sound recorder...);-)

Well, we used it as a BTS cam as well. The real reason was that I didn't have access to a H4N at the time, so I used the HVX as a last resort. It worked very well though!

Wow, very nice. Stock lens?

Mostly Nikon Primes with an adaptor, but maybe 10% of the finished film is shot with the stock lens.

The only thing that bothered me is the framing. I guess you didn't frame for cinemascope. Always on the verge of cutting of some heads...

Besides that it looked really nice. And I really like the titles.

that's mostly fixed in the actual film. the trailer was thrown together quickly, but i'll double check it, thanks!

wow, this reminds me of a film i saw at Sundance this year called THE ROMANTICS, you've got some shots right out of it haha. except in The Romantics its Katie Holmes and Adam Brody. You'll see the similarities when you see the movie (if you see it). Not a bad thing, just funny.

Trailer looked like it needed some voice over narration, like 'Closer'. But that's just me cos' I want to know the story other than it's about two people and a possible romance.
