OK this may not be the right forum but it has preproduction on the subtitle so here is goes.

I’m looking for a fairly specific location, a bathroom. A bathroom that is hopefully big enough to shoot in and it must be old fashioned looking. The setting is an old bed and breakfast inn.

The bathroom featured in Groundhog Day, the one where he kept taking the cold shower, would be ideal. I need to be able to shoot the tub with a shower running, so I could build it, but pumping the water (and keeping it warm for the actor) would be problematic.

I live in the LA area and any suggestions for such a location or resources to help me find such a thing would be great.

Thanks

(P.S. and no this is not a porn lol)

Wrong room. Try the Cafe or maybe Jobs. This is the screenwriting area. Good luck.

Better yet, you should try Craigslist.com or indieclub.com

Just in case you don't post this question in one of the other areas...try going to the Film Commission office in L.A. and go through the location books. You might find what you are looking for there.

If you have the resources, just build a two-wall set with some tileboard, rent a stand-alone tub/shower (the old-fashioned-looking kind, of course) from one of the many fine rental houses in town, pipe water to/from existing plumbing if and where you have it, and...voila! A set designed to your standards and perfect for your needs.

If'n you want to go that way. Sometimes building a purpose-designed set is really much better than investing the time, etc in finding 'just the right' location. Which, of course, usually doesn't exist.
