Heres my situation:
I taped with dvx in 24p advance and then brought into vegas.
i have my timeline and project set to ntsc dv 24p (with 2:3:3:2 pulldown) in vegas. Footage plays and lookes great but then i want to put some footage into AE 6. When i go to put it in AE i "interpret footage" in project window to do wwsww pulldown (i did "guess 24pa pulldown") and my composition is set to 23.976. Now after rendering in AE and bringing back into Vegas it looks fine on TV output but then once i render all the AE footage gets darkened and completely destroyed compared to normal untouched 24p footage.
So my question is:
HOW do i move back and forth between Vegas and AE?!! I keep losing quality and it keeps getting darker and darker. Should i set vegas to 29.978? Do i "interpret footage" in AE or jus leave my whole composition set to DV 29.978? Should everything be uncompressed? i jus need to know wat to set vegas and AE project settings to.
(does miro codec have ne thing to do with it possibly?)
Thanks

ok i figured it out. However for those who might be wondering the same thing, this is how to do it:
This is if you shot in 24Pa on dvx and captured into vegas
render ur clips as 24p (2:3:3:2 pulldown) in vegas. Then open AE and set the comps frame rate to 23.976. Next right click ur footage in the project window and "interpret footage". click on "guess 24pa pulldown". Itll now say 23.976 3:2 removed. Now render out and put back into a 24p (2:3:3:2) project in vegas. Now right click ur new footage and change the fields to "none" (progressive). This should give u perfect transfer between AE and Vegas without disturbing color or brightness.
Hope this helps
