1.7X Canon teleconverter with Panasonic HMC40?

Hi folks; I'm interested in buying a HMC40. I like its low weight, its tapeless workflow, and what people write about the clarity of the images it produces. I enjoy shooting wildlife video, expecially birds. For that I need a long focal length on the lens to get close to my subjects. I have been using a Canon 1.7X tele extender on my Canon HV20. I am pretty satisfied with the results. My question is can I use the same tele extender on the HMC40? Both cameras have a 43mm diameter lens. Thanks. Henry

I don't know if anyone here has tried it, but I've got to think if you are satisfied with it on the HV20, it could work well on the HMC40. Canon makes good glass.
