Hey guys im having a little problem with after effects and i was hoping you could give me some perspective, ive been going at it all afternoon and its driving me crazy.

I'm editing some footage (that i shot on DVX in 25p in PAL) where i'm creating masks to create a depth of field within some of my shots, and for some reason when i export it, then bring it into premiere it squashes it down a bit and makes it look fat :P

I have to interpret the footage like everytime when i import it into both programs, (and i interpret it as PAL each time) so this may be the cause of some of my problems, altho i dont see how

Also it looks fine in after effects, but when i export it, it results as looking squashed in premiere, im exporting it as dv-pal with 25fps

please help this is reaaaaaaally annoying

thanks guys

what versions of premiere and AE are you using? AE 6 has a little button just under the image that corrects the aspect ratio for .9 images. so if you have that checked, it might be squaring up the image, and when you bring it into premiere it might not be getting the square up. how does the footage look in quicktime?
