Secondly, I'm about to make some fake blood ready for the filming that starts next week! We're filming 25th/26th February in Cardiff almost non-stop and definately into the night.

Thirdly, if any of you are in Cardiff on those dates and fancy being extras then please let me know and we'll arrange a meet-up on the day!

Ki-Ki also took a step back last week and am no longer attached to this project - same for my partner.

The actress that played Reyes backed out and remained on as Costume Design & Make-up Artist.

The actress that played Lila dropped out due to apparently being Ill.

..So myself and my partner had a crack at re-writing the original script written by the writer. We came up with some more Character depths and such. We now have a final draft ready for Production..

First Production Meeting, heavy rain & flooding prevented us from doing a lot of primary work. We ended up staying in a pub for 3/4's of the time discussing the film. Which we ended up to tearing apart the script...

I'm not running point on this.. me and my partner did revisions on Jennys script.
Got it down from 19 pages, improved storyline, character depth, took out things that didn't work - added in cheese & goodness, dialogue. That sort of stuff.

Is drinking on a train frowned upon in the UK? You can drink on the trains in and out of New York, they even had "bar cars". But I think they've eliminated them due to budget cuts.

They charge what I think would be around $8.50 there for small alcoholic drinks. The types you get in a small disposable plastic cup, and you can't have to many. So It's certainly disputed by commuters, they don't like it.

Yeah I believe I can do this all in time. I know for a fact that one of my editors is really quick but really good at editing and the other one is also good so those two working together will make sure we get it in on time!

Hello everyone,

Here are some updates for my film Blood Lust:

1. Fake blood is going to be made tomorrow. This will be exciting. Pictures will be put up of the progress.

2. I'm waiting on two music tracks for the film from a composer. Again, updates will be put up when it comes.

3. I'm meeting with my costume/make-up woman after our lecture to discuss costumes/make-up/hair with her. If I can get a copy of her notes/pictures, I'll put them up so you guys can have a feel of what's going to happen.

4. I've got a new extra on-board with a few more to come.

5. I've managed to get a friend of mine to do some photography of us making the film so hopefully I'll be able to put a few up if/when the occasion arises.

I begin filming on 25th so it's all getting very exciting. My cast & crew are energized and really looking forward to filming so it's all systems go!

I met with my costume/make-up department to discuss....well, make-up and costume. I wasn't able to get a picture of her notes...today...but more notes were made in preparation for tomorrow's filming.

The poster will be definate - there just need to be a few changes to the crew due to changes but otherwise it's all good!
Filming went on and was completed despite the (inevitable) delays and problems. The cast & crew are incredibly exhausted after the intense filming. Poster will be up very soon whilst we get on to editing in the next two days.

Thanks! The poster is pretty good! I'm at post-production stage where editing is taking place tomorrow and my composer is waiting on screen shots to help compose music. I'm going off travelling to the North of England on Thursday so I'm hoping to hand this all in on Wednesday!

Okay I have a massive dilemma:

Post-production have a really slim deadline and would really struggle to edit this film in time for Friday. I could hand it elsewhere to get it done but it wouldn't be as good and I'm uncomfortable with the idea of making this film then rushing the editing and risking it being not as good as I want it to be. On the other hand, if I don't get it rushed then I can't enter the contest.

Can you guys give me some advice as to what I should do?

My advice, get it done. You will get so much more feedback that way.
You can always take that and make improvements after this Fest is over and then enter it elsewhere.

Posting on Jenny's behalf again, as since mid-week she's been travelling around.

I don't think her film will be entering this fest'

She decided to send me a package in the week with the footage, a copy of the script & some notes. I offered and she ended up deciding that I should edit her film for the fest - - due to the fact that since she was travelling, her and the editor couldn't get round to it in time for the deadline.

However the package still hasn't come, and is two days late.

Even if it came tomorrow. With the time zones working out the way they do, and how late the post men come in the UK. It ends up working out that myself and composer would have literally around 1 hour to rip the footage, edit it, slice and dice music to it, render it & upload.

This is just my speculation at the minute, but the truths the truth. :)

Does it absolutely have to have music? Like Mike said, the feedback is nice, so you could submit it with no music, and always add the score later.

Assuming you actually get the package with enough time to do a rough edit.

No music for the fest', the composers busy recording in a studio today and tomorrow. After the weekend he's free though, so that's an added bonus for her. I think she'll probably post it up DURING the fest'

I mean there's two weeks to download rate and go through rounds. She'll be sure to put a link up in the thread - even if it isn't exhibition or entry.
