Anybody using this...any problems between FCP and AE???

I have used the paying version sometimes ant it worked quite well as long as you don't use any transitions in FCP ( i mean effects transitions not keyframed opacity).

Now, the cool thing with AE 6.5 is that you do not (abosolutely) need the paying version anymore since AE 6.5 can import AAF files from FCP 4 that you can export with a FREE plugin from this very same factory. It's not as perfect as the paying version but works very well in production (i'm in commercials so time is an issue) once you get all the tricks right.

I used to export referencesfrom FCP to AE and will NEVER go back to this.

Thanx for your help...it looks like a great tool.

What is the AAF format...I've never heard of it?

Introduced by Microsoft in 1998, AAF (Advanced Authoring Format) is a multimedia file interchange format that contains all the editing decisions of a project from a non-linear editor (NLE), such as Adobe Premiere Pro. AAF lets you exchange NLE projects between platforms, systems and applications. AAF files do not contain media; rather, they contain editing decisions and links to media.

Sacre Bleu!

But how do one got that to work with Avid Xpress Por. I have tried exporting a sequence and just i received a errorr message:
Unable to export the bin. Exception AAF Domain failed to create file.

Many thanks for any commentary.
