So the other day, I was DP on a shoot for a VERY important interview. I was cross shooting with 2 HPX170s. I had the settings matched up to start the day, but at some point, they got switched. A vital piece of this very important interview with a very important filmmaker ended up being shot the following way: Camera B (the interviewer) was shot with the scene file set to film cam and 24 fps, and the record format in the recording setup set to 720P/24PN. This is how I had set it. Camera A (the very important subject) was recorded the same, except the recording format was changed to 720P/30PN.
The footage was handed off to my client, who is now having problems getting it into FCP through log & capture. I'm just a DP, and I don't know FCP well enough to tell them how to get it in there and synched up to the other camera, and able to be multiclipped.
I have P2Log, and I can see the footage in the viewer, and it looks slightly undercranked, and there is no audio. Can anyone please tell me that this footage is salvagable (ie, the two shots can be cut together), and how I can do it?
Thanks SO much in advance.

If the subject footage at 720p/30pN was shot using the DEFAULT framerate (which would have been 30fps for that record format) then there should be audio. I suspect that if you have no audio then the frame rate was left at 24 fps with the record format at 30. No audio is ever recorded with variable frame rates other than the default setting for a given record format.

That aside, in FCP you should be using Log and Transfer if the client has your footage as a digital file on his computer. Don't use log and Capture.
