Hi!

I think it was really nice, especially how you handled the actors! The camera work, and the chosen angles worked well too, maybe in one scene, the exposure wasnt so great where the two guys was talkin before the "interruption", the camera wasnt handled too well the front of the window shot, you should work on that. Also, try to create a better titles! The font type, the color and the animation doesent really fit for this!

Good luck!

Great little short. Good acting, good blocking. I can tell you took time to setup your shots and it shows. What did you use for a stabilizer or steadycam? What did you use for sound? Didyou have a sound guy following actors when they were walking and talking?

I really like the look of it to, what did you use to color correct? I usually have a lot of criticisms, but im having trouble finding any here. Maybe try something a little longer next time?

Keep it up

I loved the free form nature of the camera, really made me feel like I was watching a real story. Just subtle enough to get the effect, without feeling shaky or over used. Also the acting of everyone involved was fantastic. Particularly the man who's wife is cheating on him. He was stellar, not a single word came out of his mouth I didn't believe. As a director, that reflects well on you! Great job, snappy dialogue, kept me interested the whole way though.

Great little short!

Thanks for you nice words! :) I'm not sure which shot you mean by the front of the window shot. For the titles I wanted them to be misleading, like if it was going to be an action film.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! You obviously have great taste
For stabilization I used either the cage "Documentary Kit" from marksphototools.com/ (http://www.marksphototools.com/) which is good to reduce the micro rotations when hand holding or the shoulder support Spider from shapewlb.com/ (http://www.shapewlb.com/) depending on the shots.
For sound, a friend was acting as boom operator with a shotgun mic plugged in the Zoom H4n. I also had the Rode Video Mic on my camera plugged in the second input of the H4n. We forgot to unplugged the refrigerator so I had to clean the sound the best I could in Soundtrack Pro.
Color correction was done in Apple Color.
At the moment I'm shooting a short for the Vincent Laforet/Canon/Vimeo contest but after that I'll be writing a feature film. So I'll have something longer for next time. :)

Visuals are important to me but good story telling and suspension of disbelief are crucial. So your comment is very encouraging. Thanks!
