Here's my first BIG action AE project (other than some simple junk I've done.)

http://homepage.mac.com/captmench/AEIntro.mov

My problems are two fold... (or more, you see for yourself... sorry Kai... lense flares abound!!)

The blue element... I'll fix the zipping crap, but I like the around the body motion... except for it whips around the left and right corners. *How do I slow that down to be nice and smooth?

Also, the text at the end has been biting my ass for 2 months. *I can't figure out the best thing to do. *Any thoughts/hints?

Sound design is forthcoming.

Here's the link to the project file if you're interested...

Title is Ben16CC.

Thanks for any suggestions.

ps... if you are interested it seeing what it's for you can check out the BenTCG movie on my iDisk too... but only nice comments about that, please!!

Capn, if somebody saw you while you were shooting that, but didn't know you were shooting... they'd think you were insane ;D

I'm not feeling the birthday text, I would like to see a bit more of a muted color, right now it feels too much of a contrast to the backround

Ya -- I filmed that against my wall inside.... house paint. What a joy to key!!

Yeah--the birthday text. That was just a sfballoon text moved in Livetype. I feel I need something more 3d? maybe just a bit more grungy? I dont' know.

Thanks

I highly HIGHLY recommend that you don't do anything 3-d, please, 3d text is just... ugh IMO

Again, just IMO
