I'm not a DVX100(E) owner yet, but I may be sometime next week.

If I decide to purchase a DVX100E, I will want to get a filter kit for it. But my question is, what do I get? What brand? What types? I'd like a kit to aid all situations (skylight, soft focus, center spot, and naturally UV protection, etc.)

Some sort of guide would be great :)

Don't worry so much about "effect" filters like those you mention, except the skylight or UV.

There are three filters which are not really effect and should be on any DV bag: ND9, polarizer and graduated. The first two will help you camera's F stay relatively open in daylight and so get better image results. The polarizer can be great on landscapes.

The graduated ND will help your video camera tame bright skies when you are in backlight. As master Conrad Hall showed us, a backlight can be superb when you are in the open and don't have the money to pump fill light. In film Hall let the skies burn, but in video you can't do that... except with a graduated ND.

I ordered my DVX100, but I haven't recieved it yet. What brand of filters do I need to buy and where do I get them? And are they easy to put on and take off?
