I cannot seem to remove my anamorphic lens. It rotates, but doesn't allow for release. What has happened?

**sigh**..couple deep breaths.... ok her you go ..you need to tighten the thread locking screw. on the lense .. that screw tightens the lense to the threading/mounting ring on the lense..so if its not tightined your just spinning the lense around the mount you need to tighten the lense to the mount so that when you turn the lense..the mount turns with it and unthreads.. the same goes for putting the lense on.. that screw should be almost as hand tight as you can possibly get it unless you are loosening it to rotate the lense on the threads once it is screwed in tight to level the lense with the cam ..at ALL other times that screw should be tight.

I was a bit frustrated when I first tried to remove the lens as well. Most anyone can figure out that you need to tighten the locking screw in order to unscrew the lens form the mount. It is a little more difficult when the adaptor seems to be frozen to the lens. You want to twist it hard but hesitate as you can almost feel the plastic housing break off in your hands. Not to worry. Tighten the screw very tight then, with the snap of your wrist, twist the adaptor off. The quick movement relaeses the bond that the screw threads seem to have on one another when the adapter is screwed tightly to the lens.

Thanks. Counterintuitive, but it worked.

Help! I just got my new DVX100 and 16:9 lens delivered - eveything was a joyous dream - until I tried to attach the anamorphic lens.

In a haste, I didn't tighten the anamorphic lens screw enough before I attached it to the camera lens [a common enough crime apparently]. Trouble is, the adapter screw [which comes attached on my ana lens] looks short and feels kinda loose. When I tried to tighten the adapter onto the camera body with it, the screw would not "touch bottom" to create friction, but instead could be pulled off the screw hole! That doesn't seem right! Am I getting a defect product or...???

And of course, since I can't tighten the adapter - I can't remove it to fix the original problem!

Help and advice from the lens experts appreciated.
