I just received my Tripod (Bogen 3046 Sticks and 503 Head) and I have a question about panning.
When I pan from left to right (or right to left) there is a little play/looseness. It appears to be coming from the main tripod shaft not the head (which is attached firmly).
To better explain, lets say I lock down the head, I can still wiggle the head with the pan bar about 1/2 an inch and the movement is not coming from the head but from the tripod shaft.
Is this common? Is there anything you can do about it? Or do I just need to learn how to compensate for it?
Thanks,
Chris
