What do you prefer for your editing sys?

LCD not yet there, contrast rate low, persist is to high, creating motion artifacts. For color matching low.
CRT power hungy,take lot of space. Not yet DVI input.
Need to recalibrate, degause ... etc maitnance.
LCD with DVI will dispaly directly out of video memory with no convertion.
CRT requer analog convertion on card, addition step to add distortions.
I am using 2, 22" Radius(CRT) (Old but i love them) with GFORCE Quad 9800 XLS

Aren't the new View Sonic LCD's of equal capablilaty of that to the CRT'S?

I have 19" ViewSonic VX100 LCD, 600:1 contrast rate 25ms respond time(B-W-B). It still give motion artifacs.
Sony making nice one, but you getting what you paying.
Also you can not change from preset resolution with out pixel bluring.

LCD monitors are great for your main computer monitor, but they are simply not adequate for a video preview. If you want to know what your video's going to look like, you've got to see it on a television. So, a nice big LCD for your main monitor, and a TV hooked up to your deck for video preview... that'd work...

These are the specs. What's your take on them? Im looking to pay 300.00 a piece $CDN.
Also, im running a P4, 1.6 Ghz, 120 gig hd 7200 Rpm and will be getting the Martrox Parhelia 256 with over a giga Rambus ram.
Could you let me know what you think of that sys for the time being. I will be investing into a stronger syestem in July. But for now this is what i have to work with.
