I have a 2GHz Core Duo MBP with OSX 10.5.6. Som time ago (6MO +) I went to use my duel adapter to off load my footage, standard stuff. It did not work so I looked around the forum went to the Duel Site could not find anything wierd as to why it would all of a sudden not work. After a week of searching I came up with the conclusion that I had broken the Duel Adapter somehow.

I have been missing my Duel in the field but could work with out it, especially if it breaks as easy as it did cause, I remember treating that thing good!

I recently worked on a project that I really missed the Duels facility, so today I bought another. I just connected it and I am having the same exact problem that I was having with the other adapter sooooooo. Now I have a different problem that is obviously not the adapter.

The MBP sees when I connect and disconnect the card, it also sees some info in the (ABOUT THIS MAC) pci cards hardware section. One thing i did notice here is, the (Driver Installed) line says no for (Other Mass Storage Controller). From my understanding the Duel Should work with 10.5 + automaticlly, I understand this is different that the P2 itself but it usto work so Im stuck...

I hope someone out here knows what is going on, even more so on DVX USER X-MAS EVE.... and can help me with this issue.... HAPPY MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO ALL!

The Duel adapters are fragile buggers, i've been through two of them myself.

You might try re-installing the drivers . My Duel stopped working at one point, reloading the drivers from Panasonic and Duel got it working again. Other than that, call Duels customer support and they can walk you through some trouble shooting.

Good luck !
