View Full Version : Timer question

I'm looking at buying this timer for shooting timelapses on my GH1:

It says: The maximum number of exposure are 399 pictures.

Does this mean it can not be set to take pictures until it is manually stopped?

It could mean the exposure count system only goes that high, but that it can be a dumb intervalometer as well. You'll need to ask them.

That's a JJC - I have one and it will shoot as many stills as your card has room for - there is no limit other than that.

Yeah, it will go forever, but just to clarify:

When you're setting it up, there's a way you can set it to take a certain number of pictures, like 1 picture every second, and take 150 pictures. In this mode, you can take up to 399 pictures.

You can, however, just set the "number of pictures to take" count to "0" or "-" (I have a slightly different timer, but they're all very very similar). It will then go forever.

So really, you can take "up to 399 *or* unlimited" photos with it. Well, until your card fills anyway.

Good clarification, saaby. Thanks.
