I shot a project with my Panasonic HPX170 in 720p 30fps onto a P2 card. I imported the footage into Final Cut Pro v.6.0.5. and edited the project. When I export the project using Quicktime or Compressor, it automatically letterboxes the whole thing. I have double-checked and I not selecting to letterbox it in any way. I am trying to export an H.264 at 1280x720 with NO letterboxing. But when I do that, it just pulls the footage wider and it still has the letterboxing. I can't figure out how to remove it and it's driving me crazy! Any help?

My sequence is DVCProHD 720p 30fps. It's the standard options. I haven't changed anything or made an custom settings.

When I click on the raw footage, the viewer shows it without letterboxing. But when inserted into the project, the canvas shows letterboxing on the project. Is there some option on Final Cut that makes all HD footage letterboxed or something? Can I turn that option off?

I know it's possible to export this project as a clean 16x9 quicktime because I have done it at work? But on my home computer, I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. :( Help please!

Thank you in advance!

The letter box has an option to fit within dimensions, see if that will help.
