I am working with the Nikon D3s on studio video projects and (naturally) need a second camera. I am not sure what the differences would be between the FF sensor of the D3s and the D90 or D300s. If I used the D90 or D300 on a tripod to capture the overall scene in a studio (2nd camera), would the video be good enough to cut back and forth between the cameras in the finished piece?
If you have a D3s and one of the others, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I don't have any of them yet but I don't see why they wouldn't work like that.

Well, I wonder if the difference between the size of the sensors will make the ISO of the two cameras a problem. Perhaps there is someone who has both cameras AND the experience of comparing the two.

how much of a difference is it between the D300s and the D3s?

The difference is that between a DX and and and FX(full-frame) sensor.
