They both look quite good but it's hard to tell in that video. The GF1 is more in my price range, and I don't think I really NEED 1080. But the lack of mic input might kill the deal.

the big difference to me was the lack of 24p. if it weren't for that this (or the ep-1) would have been pretty tempting. the gh1 might come down in price pretty soon, I'm guessing.

It's coming down in price like everyday.

GH1 movable screen is a big plus imo, and I heard (and read) that the noise is much worse in low light.

GF1 20mm lense is sick tho.

I've been on the fence between these two, but I just can't stand that the GF1's exposure is automatic. A lack of external mic is fine since I could use a separate audio system and the lack of 24p is fine since you can change to 25fps with pal mode.

If I'm not mistaken the codec implementation in the GF1 is also worse in general...

The 720 60p mode of the GH1 is significantly better than the GF1 because the GH1 shoots 60 different frames while the GF1s' chip outputs 30p and get recorded to 60p.

Dell has the GH1 for a little under $1250.

I just saw that Dell deal. I'm tempted to pull the trigger, but man does that store have bad reviews. A lot of other stores are selling it for about $1300. I wonder if it'll get even cheaper after New Years.

If you add an autofocus zoom lense and the optionnal visor, the GF1 is actually about the same price that a GH1 + the 20 mm.

No brainer for me...
