Disclaimer: I'm an effects guy by "trade" and am just now moving into editing and camera holding....i know the edits are sloppy and footage shaky...so don't ding me for it LOL. I'm still learning my way around manual settings and holding the camera.
I just got the Sony HVR-Z5U and immediately started doing tests with it.
Slow Motion Tests - have the option to do 3, 6, or 12 sec segments. As stated on their site & manual, the longer the clip, the lower the quality. From what I can tell so far is that it will only record like this when in 60i mode.

Low light test - I got this camera because I liked this minimum lux rating of 1.5lux...which being a musician and likely filming a lot of live music aside from weddings, was an attractive feature to me.
