I have a shoot upcoming and the director would like to shoot 70% slow mo and the rest regular. Should I shoot the regular in 1080 and uprez the 720, or downrez everything to 720, or just shoot it all in 720?

really 70%? That's a lot of movie in slow motion- you sure it won't seem overused? :Drogar-Love(DBG):Anyways, yeah I'd just shoot the whole thing in 720p if you're capturing that much in 720p already.

I should have mentioned...Its a 30 second spot mixing stills and slow motion, so probably more like 50% stills, 35% slowmo, 15% regular speed. Why should I stick with 720, does 720 not look so great upped to 1080?

Ah ok- you've just totally changed your question. :) Sure shoot 720p slowmo and the rest 1080, post in 1080.
