VIMEO LINK (http://vimeo.com/user1330824) if you have problems viewing them in the threads

My very first vid I used After Effects as Premiere was giving me problems.

Then I tried editing a full movie in premiere after converting the files in Quicktime Pro. The preview was awesome, then I exported it using these settings:

Adobe Premiere Pro:

Media Encoder:

Settings were followed using this thread (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=175819)

Though I did not untick frame blend as I didn't find it.

Then final movie was uploaded here. The quality was much lower than my first video from After Effects. Not sure what settings I used in AE as I just imported a file and exported whatever settings it gave me.

What did I do wrong?

OK. Frame Blending is on the Timeline, you right click a clip on it and untick it that way. On CS3 you got to do it to each individual clip. You don't need to do this if you're staying at 24p and not changing the frame rate.

As for exporting to web:

Your dimensions are wrong. Correct size is 1280 width not 1080.

The reason why the quality is poor is because your bitrate is only 3 Mbps and you're doing 1 Pass VBR. Try 2 Pass VBR (it will take longer) or CBR and a bitrate of 5.

Your audio quality doesn't need to be so high.

And After Effects is a nicer program to export with in general. Has more things unlocked, especially on a mac with FCP =]

Hi,

If your using Premiere Pro on a PC, there is no need to convert the files, just go to www.decklink.com and download the drivers for either the Intencity or MultiBridge and install them (dont worry that you dont have the hardware) Then when you reboot Premiere, you will see there is a new Blackmagic folder, under the VariCam folder select the 720 24p preset. You can now cut the AVI files in RT without converting ( I have more detail about this on my blog if your interested). As for exporting, agreed you want to go with 2 pass VBR and up the bitrate, also max sure you turn on Maximum Render Quality (its the button on the far right hand side that looks like a series of lines with a downward pointing arrow.

So I reuploaded the video though its still kind of blotchy to me.

Target and Max of 5. I don't see the HD button either. My other video on Vimeo is far clearer.

I tried a max of everything and it was like lagging when it played. Deleted that. But I got a lil farther than I did last time
